Drop-In Archery Education Program For anyone who would like to try shooting a bow we have a free introduction to archery class held every Thursday from 6:00pm to 7:45pm. If you are new to archery or have an interest in taking the sport back up, you are welcome to come (First Come First Served) between 6:00 and 6:15 and we will set you up with all the archery equipment you will need for free on your first visit. On your first visit you will be introduced to basic archery form and safety. After your first visit you may come back for a fee of $5.00 which includes equipment and shooting time where you can shoot and learn in an open instruction format. We do ask that any new students be 7 years or older because of the motor skills required in order to shoot safely. We emphasis four things in our classes that that is Safety, Safety, Safety and Fun. If you have any questions please contact Steven Coleman at steven.m.coleman@us.army.mil or reach him by phone at 253-576-2989. We look forward to seeing you in class.

Western WA Sportsmen’s Show Archery Demonstration Tent For the past several years Skookum Archers has hosted an Archery Demonstration Tent at the Western WA Sportsmen’s Show at the Puyallup Fair Grounds. Each year more than 2,000 kids and adults try their hand at shooting a bow. Thousands more pass through the booth. We setup 3 FITA targets and 9 3-D animals including 3 very realistic dinosaur targets loaned to us by the O’Loughlin trade show that are a big hit with the kids.
