ACTIVITIES DIRECTOR

 

PRESIDENT

1. Shall be the chief executive officer of the corporation, and subject to the Board's control, shall supervise and control all of the assets, business and affairs of the corporation.

2. Shall preside over meetings of the members and the Board.

3. May sign deeds, mortgages, bonds, contracts, or other instruments, except when the signing and execution thereof have been expressly delegated by the Board or by the Bylaws of the corporation to some other officer or agent of the corporation or are required by law to be otherwise signed or executed by some other officer or in some other manner.

4. In general, shall perform the duties incident to the office of President and such other duties as are assigned to him or her by the Board from time to time.

VICE PRESIDENT

1. In the event of the death of the President or his or her inability to act, the Vice President shall perform the duties of the President, except as may be limited by resolution of the Board, with all the powers of and subject to all the restrictions upon the President.

2. Shall have, to the extent authorized by the President or the Board, the same powers as the President to sign deeds, mortgages, bonds, contracts or other instruments.

3. Shall preside over meetings of the members and Board in the absence of the President.

4. Shall maintain membership records and notify members when membership renewal is due

5. Shall conduct mandatory new member orientation meetings.

6. Shall actively promote and solicit membership by mailings, telemarketing, and other means approved by the Board of Directors.

7. Shall perform such other duties as from time to time may be assigned by the President or the Board.

SECRETARY

1. Shall keep the minutes of meetings of the members and the Board, and minutes which may be maintained by committees of the Board.

2. Shall see that all notices are duly given in accordance with the provisions of the Bylaws or as required by law.

3. Shall be custodian of the corporate records of the corporation.

4. Shall keep records of the mailing address and class, if applicable, of each member and Director and of the name and mailing address of each officer.

5. Shall sign with the President, or other officer authorized by the President or the Board, deeds, mortgages, bonds, contracts, or other instruments.

6. In general, shall perform all duties incident to the office of Secretary and such other duties as from time to time may be assigned to him or her by the President or the Board.

TREASURER

1. Shall have charge and custody of and be responsible for all funds, securities, and disbursements of the corporation; receive and give receipts for moneys due and payable to the corporation from any source whatsoever, and deposit all such moneys in the name of the corporation in banks, trust companies or other depositories selected in accordance with the provisions of the Bylaws.

2. Shall prepare, present to the Board, and post at the principle office of the corporation monthly and annual financial reports.

3. Shall be responsible for the filing of Ax returns required by law.

4. Shall preside over meetings of the members and Board in the absence of the President and Vice President.

5. In general, shall perform all duties incident to the office of Treasurer and such other duties as from time to time may be assigned to him or her by the President or the Board.

GROUNDS DIRECTOR

1. Shall supervise and insure that the grounds on the range are maintained, to include but not limited to: a) All mowing, trimming, brush clearing, and weed-eating/edging of camping/parking areas, open field range, around all club buildings and facilities, and all walk-through courses. b) Special attention should be given to these duties prior to any event hosted by the club.

2. Shall supervise and insure that all grounds equipment is mainlined.

3. Shall purchase and stock all necessary supplies, materials and equipment.

4. Shall be responsible for maintenance of our Wet Lands area(s) and insuring our compliance with all pertinent laws and regulations.

5. Shall be responsible for compliance with Pierce County (Open Space), Bonneville Power Administration, Puget Power, and any other contracts or land management regulatory agencies.

6. Shall supervise and insure that the driveway is mainlined and free of potholes.

7. Shall maintain any designated storage areas/structures.

8. Shall organize and oversee all appropriate work parties.

9. Coordinate and work in conjunction with appropriate Board members.

10. Shall perform such other duties as from time to time may be determined to be appropriate and assigned by the President or the Board.

RANGE DIRECTOR

1. Shall be responsible for range safety, to include but not limited to: a) Maintenance and installation of all fencing; b) Posting of all property identification; "No Trespassing", "Danger Archery Range", etc.

2. Shall be responsible for determining range design, all target locations, and that range inspections are conducted to maintain NFAA insurance.

3. Shall maintain all shooting areas and target sheds, to include but not limited to: a) Design and construction of target sheds; b) Purchase, replacement, and storage of target bales for walk-through courses and field range(s); c) Construct and replace shooting stakes as needed; d) Identification of trails, target lanes and target sheds; e) Construction and maintenance of all benches and bow steads in shooting areas.

4. Shall maintain any designated storage areas/structures.

5. Shall purchase all necessary supplies, materials and equipment.

6. Shall organize and oversee all appropriate work parties.

7. Shall assign targets to club members to maintain, determine the criteria for maintenance, provide assignments to Publicity Chair for publication, and monitor effectiveness.

8. Coordinate and work in conjunction with appropriate Board members.

9. Shall perform such other duties as from time to time may be determined to be appropriate and assigned by the President or the Board.

BOWHUNTING DIRECTOR

1. Shall coordinate and schedule Bowhunter Education courses and hunting refuted seminars to be hosted by Skookum Archers.

2. Shall be the liaison between Skookum Archers and the State Wildlife Commission, WA Dept. of Fish and Wildlife, and any other wildlife management agencies.

3. Shall inform members of changes to WA State Hunting Regulations and Seasons.

4. Shall organize and coordinate the presentation of Bowhunting Awards to members.

5. Coordinate and work in conjunction with appropriate Board members.

6. Shall perform such other duties as from time to time may be determined to be appropriate and assigned by the President or the Board.

TOURNAMENT DIRECTOR

1. Shall be responsible for coordinating the scheduling, organization, staffing, and presentation of all public tournaments to be hosted by Skookum Archers.

2. Shall be responsible for working in conjunction with the Board and Committee to determine which State and/or Nationally sponsored events Skookum Archers would like to host, and the preparation and submission of tournament bids within established deadlines.

3. Shall coordinate with the State and/or National governing body for presentation any of tournaments we have been awarded to host through the bid process.

4. Shall be responsible for ordering, preparation and storing of all paper and 3D animal targets for range and tournament Use

5. Shall be responsible for ordering, storage and maintenance of all target mats/materials which are designated for tournaments.

6. Shall be responsible for maintenance of any designated storage areas/structures.

7. Coordinate and work in conjunction with appropriate Board members.

8. Shall perform such other duties as from time to time may be determined to be appropriate and assigned by the President or the Board.

COMMUNICATIONS DIRECTOR

1. Shall be responsible for the publication and distribution of a monthly newsletter to members, entitled "Smoke Signal". This newsletter shall contain, but is not limited to: a) Tournament, events, and meetings calendar of both public and members only events; b) Tournament Events results; c) News from membership; marriages, hunting success, etc.; d) Work party announcements and results; e) Review of Club and Board Meetings; f) Items submitted by Board Members; g) Special announcements.

2. Shall be responsible for promotion of all public tournaments and events to archery retailers, clubs, publications, and the media, through the publication and distribution of flyers, news releases, and advertisements.

3. Shall post flyers promoting club events and tournaments at the range.

4. Shall be responsible for providing the WA State Archery Association magazine (Quiver) with a periodic news release with results of club events, tournaments, and general news.

5. Shall be responsible for ordering and purchasing all supplies and postage.

6. Coordinate and work in conjunction with appropriate Board members.

7. Shall maintain the Club website, www.skookumarchers.com

8. Shall perform such other duties as from time to time may be determined to be appropriate and assigned by the President or the Board.

ACTIVITIES DIRECTOR

1. Shall be responsible for coordinating, scheduling, organization, staffing, and presentation of all member-only tournaments, leagues, and parties; holidays, etc.

2. Shall be responsible for coordinating, scheduling, organization and presentation of the Annual Banquet.

3. Shall be responsible for coordinating concessions for all public tournaments and events to be hosted by Skookum Archers.

4. Shall be responsible for ordering, purchase, and storage of all concession items and supplies.

5. Shall be responsible for maintenance of any designated storage areas.

6. Coordinate and work in conjunction with appropriate Board members.

7. Shall be responsible for maintaining the Club House.

7. Shall perform such other duties as from time to time may be determined to be appropriate and assigned by the President or the Board.
